Due to a set of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Leslie will not be able to judge our fall show as planned. She has helped us secure Sandy Osborn (who comes highly recommended) as a replacement and we are working on getting Leslie to Birmingham at some time in the future. To help get you in the mood for showing- take a minute to watch this great You-Tube promotional video (click for link) for the upcoming USEA American Eventing Championships that will be held at Chattahoochee Hills in GA (where Sandy will be one of the dressage judges)... Nikki Ellison and Sir Possum (USEA Area III Sr Training Champions) & Hanna Begue and Astrix (USEA Area III Jr Training Champions) are featured- just look for the gray or black horses with all the ribbons :) Both will be competing at AEC's (and I am sure several other members will as well). Go BDCTA!
AEC's is expected to be one of the largest horse trials ever, with over 700 competitors and is the final selection trials for the WEG eventing team. They still need volunteers, so please go to http://www.chatthillseventing.com/ to register or email me- as a reminder this (and USDF Region 3 Champs) will count towards BDCTA volunteer hours!
We also still need more volunteers for our show! Linda Thompson's email has changed- please use linda (AT) oakparkapartments (DOT) org to contact her and let her know how you can help. For a complete description of the different volunteer positions please see our website. Remember you need volunteer hours to be eligible for year end awards! |
